Senior Application Engineer – Embedded Systems Opportunity at Mentor Graphics

Mentor Graphics is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to provide technical leadership on all aspects of the sales campaign. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Deploy and support various Embedded Systems Division products at customer accounts.
Contribute toward and execute on pre/post sales account strategy as a technical member of a sales team.
Ability to go deep on a very technical consultative engagement with a customer.
Discover and communicate new potential Sales opportunities.
Qualify technical viability of the opportunity and communicate it to the sales team.
Influence Product development teams to meet customer’s needs and shape product direction.
Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and benchmarks.
Understand how to position the Embedded Systems Division products/solutions to meet customer needs.
Effectively communicate Value Proposition of Mentor Graphics’ solutions to customers.
Maintain ongoing long-term positive relationships with customers.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success.
Willingness to do whatever is required to meet customer’s needs.

Job Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Engineering (BSCE)
3 or more years of relevant Embedded Sales organization experience
Strong knowledge of modern Embedded tool flows, methodologies and programming languages (C, C++, Assembly)
Solid understanding of Embedded Linux components, creation and deployment in Embedded Systems.
Strong knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems
Familiar with other embedded technologies such as Virtualization, Simulation, Multicore and Power Analysis
Very self motivated and self disciplined.
Strong team player is required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
Strong interpersonal skills.
A passion for learning new technologies and teaching customers.
Willingness and ability to travel.
A passion for working with a variety of customers to ensure their success.
